Gastrointestinal Illness Outbreak Declared on Medical 3CCC
Please be advised that in discussion with the Porcupine Health Unit, the Timmins and District Hospital is declaring an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness on our Medical 3CCC Unit.
As a result, effective immediately Medical 3CCC has been closed to visitors until further notice. The public is reminded that all individuals with cold, flu or gastro-like symptoms (cough, fever, runny nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) are not to visit any patients at the Hospital.
These measures are taken to minimize the risk of transmission from/to patients and we ask the public for their cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions, please reach out to a member of you/your loved ones care team.
