Position Overview

The Communication Manager is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies to support hospital programs, initiatives, and services. As an integral member of the hospital’s team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Communication Manager will create and implement a strategic communications plan, addressing both internal and external strategies. This plan will be evaluated annually and enhanced based on outcomes.

Position Requirements

The Communication Manager is a leader in developing effective communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences, aligning with the organization’s strategic goals and priorities. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong working relationships with all hospital departments and valued local, regional, and provincial partners.

  • Degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the communications field.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong creativity and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively use various communication mediums to tell a compelling story.
  • Knowledge of hospital accountability requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Rate of pay: To be determined, based on experience and certification.
  • Option to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
