SeamlessMD – Supporting Surgical and Mental Health Patients
Surgical and mental health patients at Timmins and District Hospital are accessing online help to improve their health care journey and experience.
The Timmins and District Hospital Emergency Department is currently struggling with an increase in volume, mostly due to a surge in respiratory illnesses. We kindly ask that you avoid public gatherings if feeling unwell. Please wear a mask and wash your hands if you are experiencing any symptoms. To those who require medical care in the emergency department, please be mindful of the increased wait times. To see the current wait times click here.
For individuals who need non-urgent care, please read our pre-holiday message on where to get care outside of the hospital posted here.
We ask that you remain respectful towards the staff who are caring for you and your loved ones. Understand that the emergency department is not a clinic, and patients are not seen on a first come first serve basis. All patients are triaged accordingly by expert nurses based on symptoms, vital signs, and acuity of the situation. Expect longer wait times. The nurses and doctors are doing everything possible to provide the highest level of expert care to the members of our community.
