New and expanded emergency department will be up to four times larger, connecting more people to emergency care closer to home
On May 14th, the Timmins and District Hospital started the transition to a new electronic medical record system. While we implement this important project, some of our normal processes may take longer than usual. Patients attending our Emergency Department and other outpatient areas may experience longer than usual wait times as our team navigates this new system.

In July we welcomed three new hospital-based physicians: Dr. Devon Aitken, Dr. Sebastian Diebel, and Dr. Michael Schmidt.
A new Community Stroke Rehabilitation Program, launched last fall, is supporting patients after they leave the hospital.
