Timmins Hospital Recruiting Patient and Family Advisors
Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is seeking patients and family members with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join its Patient and Family Advisory Committee.
Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) has launched a new website that’s easier to navigate, with improved design to enhance the online experience and embedded accessibility features, so that everyone can access the information they need.
The new website, found at TADH.com, is designed for patients, families, visitors, and health care partners who rely on the hospital’s site as a vital and trusted source of information about its programs and services. There are also pages for future staff and physicians to help them connect with TADH and learn why Timmins is a great place to live and work.
Its enhanced accessibility features, aligned with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, ensure it can be used by all and are part of TADH’s work to advance health equity.
“It connects directly with two of our Strategic Plan’s priorities: improve the patient experience, and focus on equity and social accountability,” said President and CEO Kate Fyfe. “In designing it to meet these goals, we took into consideration feedback we’ve received over the years from our virtual visitors, and our Patient and Family Advisory Committee.”
People can expect much of the same needed information – such as Emergency Department wait times, what to bring with you to the hospital, and how to use the Telemedicine program to access specialists from across the province.
But there’s also new information like what’s on the menu at the cafeteria, more details on programs, and a monthly CEO blog featuring ways TADH is working with partners to improve the health of Northerners.
“We’ve built this website for you,” said Fyfe. “And we’re always looking for feedback. If you have thoughts on how to improve it, or other types of information you’d like to see on it, please let us know.”
People can provide feedback on the website or the care they receive at TADH by visiting this Patient Feedback page or calling (705) 267-2131. The new website is found at the same address: TADH.com.
