Caring for your spiritual needs
The Pastoral Care Services Program aims to promote wholeness of body, mind and spirit for all Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) patients, families, staff and physicians. This service offers a multifaith approach, supporting all belief systems.
Our Pastoral Care team provides spirituality-based programs and special celebration services at the request of patients and families, throughout the year.
24/7 On-Call Clergy Services
A team of clergy men and women are available 24/7 at the request of patients, families, staff, and physicians to provide spiritual care.
24/7 On-Call Roman Catholic Clergy
A priest or deacon is always available to provide the sacraments and spiritual care.
Eucharistic Ministry
Communion is offered almost daily to Roman Catholic patients on most units at the hospital. It is also available upon request for patients who are affiliated with other religions. Please connect with a member of your care team if you are interested in receiving communion.
Community Clergy
Local religious leaders can provide spiritual guidance and accompaniment to members of their congregation, who are admitted to hospital. A member of your care team will support any requests for community clergy in the event of an outbreak or isolation precautions.
Pastoral Care Visitors
Pastoral visitors are formally endorsed by their place of worship and visit patients who are admitted to hospital. If you are interested in receiving a pastoral care visitor while in hospital, please connect with a member of your care team.
