Poisonings can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. Even if you don’t use often, poisonings can be fatal. If you use substances, lower your risk of poisoning.
– Have a plan in place. – Avoid mixing substances. – Carry Naloxone/Narcan kits. Have multiple doses. – Reach out to mental health and addiction supports and services. – Test a small amount first. Start low. Go slow. – Don’t use alone. Stagger use so someone can respond if needed.
