Smoke Free Property

We are a smoke free campus

The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, staff and physicians. As an acute care hospital, TADH plays an important part in promoting health and wellness for our community and district.

In accordance to TADH’s Smoking on Property Policy (see below) and the Smoke Free Ontario Act 2016, smoking and vaping on hospital grounds is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of tobacco, vaping, cannabis or e-cigarettes.

Smoking Violations

Individuals found smoking or vaping on hospital property (including all hospital buildings, exterior grounds and parking lots) will be asked to extinguish or put away their product immediately. Individuals found in violation of the Smoke Free Ontario Act can be fined up to $1,000 for a first offence.
