Program Overview:
The Surgical Program offers a comprehensive range of services spanning a wide continuum of care for surgical patients including the specialty areas of orthopedics, urology, oral/dental surgery, ear nose and throat (ENT), gynaecology, ophthalmology and general surgery. The hospital has a total of 6 operating room suites.
Services:
Day Surgery
Day Surgery care for patients returning home post-operatively on the same day of surgery.
General Surgery & Operating Room
We work as a collaborative multi-discplinary team providing the best care for our patients. Surgical cases include elective, emergent, urgent and trauma procedures.

Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
The PACU, also known as the recovery room, is reflective of the operating room needs, with patient numbers matching the needs of the O.R.
Pre-Admission Clinic
The Pre-Admission Clinic provides pre-operative testing and screening for all patients who enter the hospital electively for surgery.
Surgical In-Patient
The in-patient surgical unit has a total of 24 surgical beds to care for patients post-operatively, as well as a separate endoscopy unit which performs colonoscopy, gastroscopy and bronchoscopy procedures.
Medical Devices Reprocessing Department
The program is responsible for instrument reprocessing and distribution.

FAQs:
What happens after my surgery?
After your operation, you may be taken to the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) where you will be monitored .
Depending on your operation, you may then be transferred to the Surgical Inpatient for a period of recovery, or moved to the Day Surgery if you are going home on the same day.
