Switchboard operators are a key point of contact when calling our hospital. Switchboard is responsible to connect our patients and their families to the relevant departments about their care. They operate switchboard equipment to receive calls and connect them to the correct staff, physician or department within the hospital.

Location

The Switchboard desk is located on the main level and can be assessed from the main promenade front doors.

Hours of Operation

The Switchboard desk is staffed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week and provides the main Hospital communication. All calls directed to the Hospital are answered and transferred to the appropriate department. They are responsible for announcing and directing all Hospital emergency codes and alarms, and maintaining an on-call list for all physicians and on-call services within the Hospital.
