Our inter-professional team of radiologists, technologists, surgeons and other healthcare professionals work in collaboration to deliver diagnosis, assessment and treatment.

As a teaching hospital of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM), many of our staff participates in education activities that advance the frontiers of cancer diagnosis and treatment for our patients.

The Coordinator is a member of the health care team who works closely with the physicians and other team members to help guide patients through the diagnostic phase.

Registered Medical Imaging Technologists / Registered Medical Imaging Technologists

(Mammography, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine)

The technologists at the Breast Wellness Center have specialized training in performing a variety of imaging exams on the breast. The technologists also work closely with the radiologists and surgeons to provide comprehensive care for patients having breast screening exams, specialized imaging procedures such as biopsies, and surgery.

Clerical Assistants

Clerical Assistants are responsible for several administrative and clerical duties at the Breast Wellness Center. Some of these duties include booking clinic appointments, registering patients, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

Volunteers

There are several volunteer members at the Breast Wellness Center and they provide assistance to patients in the clinic.
