TIMMINS, February 28, 2017 – Patients and family caregivers in Timmins were given the opportunity to nominate their providers for a Patients’ Choice Award, a unique initiative where patients submit narrative-based nominations that explain how their provider practice the kind of care that patients value. A patient jury acknowledged Dr. Rachel Maisonneuve and Dr. Jean-Luc Ethier as the two winners.

Timmins, ON – At the Annual General Meeting held on June 21, 2016, Maggie Matear was elected as the Chair of the Timmins and District Hospital Board of Directors. She succeeds Léon Laforest who had held the position for 4 years. He will continue as past Chair on the Board of Directors for a 1 year term.

Timmins, ON – On Monday, February 29th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. the Timmins and District Hospital’s (TADH) Flexible Sigmoidoscopy department will be at the City of Timmins’ City Hall to recognize the month of March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness month in Timmins. The department will also show their support and educate the public with an information booth in the main Promenade at the Hospital from February 29 to March 4 to answer questions about colorectal cancer and services the department provides.
